As always, La Mode compacts are among my favorites. This one features a lovely scalloped round case with an ornately enameled guilloche top featuring a center medallion rose on white encircled by an outer border in ivory. Sides of case are bright gold with richly embossed designs and base is a smooth gold. Interior features a metallic swing-out mirror in the lid with a rouge pot underneath (no rouge) and a soft blue downy feather puff in the base. It is in near mint condition with perfect enameling and only the slightest of wear anywhere else. A real beauty! Measures 2-1/4" diameter.
