Bucherer Mersmann Swivel Lilac Enamel Guilloche
Pendant Watch with 17 Ruby Movement
and Matching Chain!

This stunning enamel guilloche watch was made by Mersmann and has a 17 ruby jeweled movement. The design is highly unusual in that when the watch is suspended, it swivels so that the face is protected inside the "shell" of the top half. When you lift the watch up to see the time, it is weighted in such a way that the watch face will automatically rotate to face outward. The workmanship is exceptionally fine with tiny little gold flowers or butterflies scattered over the lilac/pink body. The chain has matching lilac/pink bar links ... 10 in all ... some which have slight enamel damage as visible in photos above. The jump ring which holds the chain to the watch is not original but works well to connect the two. I am unable to open the case, though, to find out any more although I am reasonably certain that it would be marked sterling silver inside as this type of watch normally is. Enameling is all in excellent condition on both parts of the watch itself. The overall length of the watch when hanging is 17-3/4". The watch itself is about 7/8" diameter. Circa 1920's - 30's. It is all original and is in working condition at the time of this writing. As with all vintage timepieces, we cannot guarantee working condition for any length of time.
